Europe’s Leading Concrete Batching Plant Manufacturer ELKON Celebrates 50 Years in the Industry

Europe’s leading concrete batching plant manufacturer, ELKON, marked its 50th anniversary with a special celebration held on May 15 at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center. The memorable evening concluded with renowned artists such as Ümit Besen and Sibel Alaş joining ELKON’s Chairman of the Board, Mustafa Alpagut, on stage to perform some of his timeless songs from the 1970s.

With a deep-rooted legacy in concrete batching plant production, ELKON celebrated half century of innovation and global success. Founded in 1975, the company now operates on six continents across 135 countries, serving as a flagship of Turkish engineering excellence in international markets.

“Our 50-year journey has been filled with success and happiness, thanks to the dedication of our employees,” said Mustafa Alpagut, founder and chairman of ELKON. “Today, we take great pride in being a globally recognized Turkish brand, admired in 135 countries for the quality of our products.”
During the event, plaques of appreciation were presented to ELKON’s department managers and international representatives, honoring their valuable contributions to the company’s growth and success.

Later in the evening, business leaders, ELKON’s local and international partners, employees, and prominent figures from the arts gathered for the “Songs of Mustafa Alpagut” concert held on the Turkcell Platinum Stage.

A NIGHT OF MUSIC AND MEMORIES

Alpagut took the stage not only as an industrialist but also as a composer, having written music for acclaimed artists such as Nilüfer, Hüner Coşkuner, Ayten Alpman, and Ayla Dikmen in the 1970s. Performing his own lyrics and compositions alongside a choir and artists including Coşkun Demir, Grup Gündoğarken, Jale, Meltem Özcan, Salim Dündar, Sibel Alaş and Ümit Besen, Alpagut created unforgettable moments that left a lasting impression on the audience.

He emphasized that ELKON has earned its place as one of the most respected ambassadors of Turkish engineering on the global stage, not only through its production capacity but also through its strategic investments in R&D.
