Construction of a 1 Billion EURO plant in Debrecen is starting in spring 2020 and will bring a significant investment to the Hungarian economy. The Debrecen plant will be the first European factory of BMW since 2005. The plant in the city of Debrecen, about 230 kilometers east of Budapest, will have a production capacity of 150,000 cars and both combustion and electrified BMW models can be assembled on a single production line.
Elkomix-120 Quick Master Concrete Batching Plant will be the chosen one as the concrete factory that will provide the concrete to be used in construction. One of the largest Hungarian readymix company who has been using ELKON equipments for 10 years put up the 3rd ELKON concrete batching plant for this project in the city.
Car manufacturing accounts for around one-third of Hungary’s exports, and with BMW this could rise to around 40 percent. As ELKON, we are happy to be the biggest concrete batching plant supplier in Hungary with the equipment we have provided to this great investment, as well as dozens of concrete batching plants located all over Hungary.
