ELKON has manufactured and supplied a unique concrete batching plant ordered by one of the largest producer of concrete pipes in Australia by the innovative casting methods. The project was prepared meticulously and organized to meet specific requirements of the customer in the sense of aggregate feeding and supplying of concrete to the rotate moulds.

After detailed technical discussion, ELKOMIX-90 Concrete Batching Plant was designed for the Australian customer by taking into consideration of the requirement of the project.

Advanced solutions were applied such as an increased embedded receiving hopper of aggregate pre-feeding system with a reinforced grid; which is having 20 m³ capacity of receiving hopper, vibrating feeder and specialy designed reinforced grids on top to feed from dump trucks that can pass over receiving hopper.

Aggregate storage bins have fully galvanized 5 compartments and are equipped with accurate weighing gates with elastic suspension to reach highest accuracy in each batch. Planetary mixer with the capacity of 2250/1500 l. is equipped with a highly wear-resistant HARDOX wear plates and has a high-pressure washing system aimed to keep the mixer clean after each working shift. A concrete bucket and a concrete supplying conveyor system to a concrete pipe machine are included in the design of equipment as well.

This is one of the special projects for ELKON in a light of company’s high experience in custom-made projects, where ELKON shows its competency and efficiency. ELKON continues to expand in Australia since entering into market with 2 units Elkomix-135 supply to Ichthys LNG Project in Darwin.
