The installation of Elkomix-90 Quick Master compact concrete batching plant, equipped with the necessary equipments for year-round operation independent from weather conditions, even under extremely cold weathers for concrete production, has been completed for the ready mixed concrete producer operating in the Kvinnherad region of Norway.
This winterized concrete plant insulated with high-quality modular insulation panels and there are heating pipes inside 6 hoppers of totally 240 m³ aggregate storage bin. Thus, concrete is produced at the desired temperature in very low environmental temperatures where the aggregate freezes. In addition, the automatic covers on the storage bin are used in an energy efficient way by opening only during aggregate loading.
With the container type steam generator located in the winterized compact concrete plant, both the heating of the plant and the heating of the aggregate and water are provided for the required concrete temperature.
With over 1,500 concrete batching plants installed in countries with very cold climates such as Norway, Kazakhstan, Siberia, Sweden etc., ELKON has great experience in concrete production under these weather conditions.
